As a Sales Engineer, you will provide technical advice while also representing Refitech’s commercial interests. You are pragmatic and able to switch quickly between various projects. You are capable of convincing and guiding new customers throughout the design and quotation process. You will manage the entire sales process, from acquisition to quotations and sales orders. You act as an advisor to your clients and work closely with the Sales Manager and Online Marketing Manager. During these activities, it’s essential to continuously prioritize and keep an overview. The role is a great mix of technical advising and the commercial aspects of securing clients. Additionally, your goal is to build long-term customer relationships and contribute to strategic growth in the Benelux and Germany.
It is crucial that our new colleague has proven technical-commercial experience and is also communicatively strong and flexible. You must be able to maintain a good overview of the various markets and customer groups in which Refitech operates.
Your goals are to find new relationships and revenue in both existing and new markets within Refitech’s strategic growth path.
Who are we?
We are an international producer of innovative lightweight composite components for various industries, such as machine and equipment manufacturing, defense, aerospace, the drone industry, and the mobility sector. In addition to developing and producing custom components, we also produce and import standard carbon components, which we sell online (www.carbonwebshop.com) and through agents in Europe. Refitech has its headquarters in Waalwijk and a production facility in China. We work in a small, motivated, and informal team with a flat organizational structure and short communication lines. You will directly contribute to the company’s results and have the opportunity to further develop yourself.
Job requirements:
- Higher professional education (HBO) work and thinking level.
- Pragmatic go-getter with a customer-oriented attitude.
- Commercial and technical insight.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Sales Engineer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
- Basic knowledge of German is a plus; additional courses can be taken.
Tasks:
Your supporting tasks will be diverse, but include:
- Handling new customer contact requests and processing them into quotations.
- As a Sales Engineer, you will work both at the office and on the road or from home.
- You will conduct phone sales and provide advice from inquiry to project assignment.
- You will draft a sales and communication plan in collaboration with the Sales Manager.
- You will maintain contact with new prospects.
- You will organize and coordinate events and trade shows.
- You will analyze the market and carry out acquisitions and research in line with the company’s strategy.
- You will contribute to process improvements and periodic meetings.
- You will perform supporting tasks for the Sales Manager.
